ABOUT US
HAIR O’ THE DOG is a full-service dog grooming salon located in North Austin. We are a local, family-owned business that takes pride in being an active part of the community. We give back by offering discounts for seniors and veterans, as well as partnering with local rescue organizations to give their dogs a better chance of being adopted.
The heart of HAIR O’ THE DOG is that we are all animal lovers. We truly do care about all of the animals that we groom; your pet will be treated as if they were our own, with love and respect. We employ grooming practices that ensure the safety and comfort of every dog and every groomer.

Grooming
All grooming appointments include everything that comes with a bath, plus a haircut.
Maintenance Program
We offer a discount to clients who schedule regular monthly, biweekly and weekly appointments.
Pricing
Pricing is based on several factors:

Length and condition of the dog's coat***
For dogs with a maintained coat, groom prices range from $65-$250.
Bath prices $45 and up.
***May incur additional fees due to matting or presence of fleas
Special accommodations
Be sure to alert us to any medical conditions or special needs your dog may have. We can accommodate allergies or other unique circumstances. We have specialty shampoos to cater to every dog's coat--medicated, whitening, darkening, deep conditioning--we have it!

Randi and TJ became the owners of Hair of the Dog in June 2021. Randi hails from Texas and is proud to be deaf. After a life-changing experience with a very special pet cat, she decided to try her hand at grooming and attended Golden Paws Grooming School in Houston. She fell in love with grooming and has been happily doing it for ten years now. Randi's favorite dogs to groom are golden retrievers and poodles, but she is an expert at grooming any long haired dogs that require hand scissoring. Randi has a Rottweiler, Lobo, a best friend and service dog.

Amanda has had a passion to work with animals since she was a child. In 2015 she started at Hair O' the Dog as a bather, and fell in love with working with dogs. For a year she trained with Brianna and Randi, and in 2016 she started grooming. Her favorite breeds to groom are shitzus and doodles. She is also very good at brushing out undercoats--huskies in particular. Amanda enjoys keeping all the doggies fresh and clean, and of course looking adorable! She plans to stick with her grooming career for a long time, and looks forward to being more involved with animals in the future. Eventually, she hopes to open her own kick ass animal shelter on a farm so she can rescue animals.
